Mark Conrad Ravanzo mirrors himself in the plight of children and youth in need of love. This desire stemmed out of his experience growing up in the challenging environment in Lamitan, Isabela, and without a father who has been missing due to a military assignment. He realized that a simple gesture like a hug can have a deeper meaning to an orphaned child.
The sense of empathy and yearning to help prompted Mark to be a volunteer at an early age of 19 by joining school-based organizations such as the Claret Youth Ministry and Red Cross in Zamboanga. Later on, he co-founded I am M.A.D. (Making A Difference), a youth volunteer organization which helps children gain added knowledge and skills in basic literacy as well as mould their values as young leaders and responsible citizens. Since 2010, under Mark’s leadership, I am M.A.D has enjoined more than 100 youth volunteers who helped organized 12 literacy projects in Kalinga, Sarangani, Tarlac, Cagayan, Bulacan, Batangas, La Union, North Cotabato, Romblon, Basilan, Davao City and Zamboanga City. The project benefited around 500 Grades 4 to 6 public school children. Read more….
