NEDA 7 gets ISO certification

The NEDA Regional Office in Central Visayas (NRO 7) is now among the millions of organizations worldwide that has an International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 certification.

The ISO certification was for Quality Management System (QMS).

NRO 7, led by RD Efren Carreon and then ARD Dionisio Ledres, Jr. received its registration certificate and registration schedule last 25 July 2018.

“I am happy that after about three years, we are able to get what we intended to get. However, this is not the end but a start of another journey, as the quest for excellence is a continuing journey,” RD Carreon said in his message.

The ISO 9001 sets out internationally accepted criteria for the QMS based on quality management principles such as strong customer focus, motivation and implication of top management, process approach, and continual improvement.

The NRO 7 enrolled both its core processes and support services and underwent Stages 1 and 2 external audit processes early this year.

Prior to the granting of the certification, the staff were also made to undergo several related trainings like the Internal Quality Audit and Root Cause Analysis.
