NEDA Director General and Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Cayetano W. Paderanga, Jr. led the first of a series of roadshows on the national government's development roadmap in Central Visayas on August 10-11. Called "Plan Caravan: Bringing the National Plan to the Regions," the event aimed at making the stakeholders in the region aware of their roles in the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2011-2016.

DG Paderanga presented the Plan to the Central Visayas Regional Development Council (RDC 7) and other local stakeholders. A presentation on the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) was also made by Director Eleazar Ricote of the PPP Center. An open forum followed, where both DG Paderanga and Dir. Ricote answered questions from the audience composed of local chief executives, directors of regional line agencies, private sector representatives, and the local private media.
