As its commitment and support to the National Greening Program (NGP), NEDA 7 initiated a joint tree planting activity last 1 July 2011 among the national government agencies located in the government center in Sudlon, Lahug, Cebu City composed of DepEd, CSC, DOST, DBM, CHED, and NEDA with DENR.

     An initial 4 hectares of a 10-hectare common area located at the Buhisan Watershed in Cebu City, was jointly planted with seedlings of narra, molave and maladuhat.

     A second tree planting activity is scheduled on August 5, which will also serve as an interagency team building activity.
