The RDC last February 1 endorsed to President Aquino six LCE-nominees for the Central Visayas RDC Chairperson position created vacant by the demise of Negros Oriental Gov. Agustin Ramon M. Perdices. Endorsed as nominees were the four Provincial Governors of the region and the Mayors of Cebu City and Mandaue City, as follows: Siquijor Gov. Orlando Fua, Bohol Gov. Edgardo Chatto, Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia, Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama, Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes, and the new Negros Oriental Gov. Roel Degamo.
