RDC expresses concern for RDP implementation

After approving the RDP, the RDC in its meeting on February 1 also expressed concern for its effective implementation. It was agreed that government agencies will come up with agency plans consistent with the RDP. Quarterly milestones and specific list of doable plans shall serve as building blocks for RDP implementation. The RDP's objectively verifiable indicators and means of verification shall be made clear to all. The strengthening of performance monitoring system of the RDP will be facilitated using the Results Evaluation Monitoring Matrix as provided by the guidelines for the formulation of the Medium-Term Development Plan. The RDC Sectoral Committees would have to further agenda their specific sectoral concerns.

NEDA7 Regional Director Marlene Rodriguez and Assistant Regional Director Efren Carreon had presented the draft RDP to the RDC. The draft was formulated consistent with the MTPDP formulation guidelines which is based on the President's Social Contract with the Filipino People. It had been presented for comments and recommendation in provincial consultations during the 18 January - 21 January period. The four sectoral committees of the RDC in a joint meeting on January 25 had reviewed and enhanced it, and endorsed it to the RDC for approval.
